Billy Schenck's upcoming one man exhibition opens September 7 and will run in conjunction with the annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. Billy was the very first featured artist for the Fall Festival when the event began in 1985. He returns this year for the 31st anniversary.
An artist reception will take place in the gallery Thursday evening from 5-8pm, with a poster signing that afternoon from 2-4pm.
"Thirteen Minutes From Eternity" will feature over a dozen new works including Billy's signature caption paintings as well as his "punk cowgirl" inspired dot paintings, which pay homage to Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, with titles including "Day of the Dead", "Gun Crazy" and "The Art of Social Skills".
