The National Cutting Horse Association Foundation is launching its inaugural art show and sale, The Art of Cutting. We are excited to bring this new event to the NCHA World Championship Futurity, November 29, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The art show will display over 25 well-known western artists. All works of art will be on display during the first week of the NCHA Futurity in the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall and will then be auctioned via the drop box method at The Art of Cutting Show and Sale held at the Fort Worth Science and History Museum. The museum is located in the cultural district of Fort Worth and within walking distance to the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum; home of the NCHA Futurity.
A percentage of sold art will benefit the NCHA Foundation. NCHA established its 501c-3 Charitable Foundation in 1982. Over its history, the Foundation has provided over $2 million in youth scholarships, to well over 500 scholarship recipients and crisis funding for individuals in need. The work of the NCHA members who started and grew the NCHA Foundation has been invaluable throughout the past 33 years.
The NCHA Foundation continues its long-standing support of youth scholarships, crisis funding, history and preservation, promotion, education, animal welfare and much more. We hope to increase that support going forward. We have the opportunity for our fundraising initiatives to help support additional initiatives that will allow our children, our grandchildren, and our grandchildren’s children to enjoy the cutting horse and the way of life that we all value.
The list of artists include Brian Asher, Wayne Baize, Duke Beardsley, Don Bell, Teal Blake, Buckeye Blake, Mary Ross Buchholz, Shawn Cameron, Tyler Crow, Steve Devenyns, Kelly Graham, Bruce Greene, Donna Howell Sickles, TD Kelsey, Jan Mapes, Sharon Markwardt, Sharon McConnell, Virginia McLamb, Lisa Perry, Jason Rich, Tamara Ruiz, Jason Scull, Travis Stewart, Don Weller and Jim Reno.
