Big City meets Big Oil in this twist on an iconic cocktail.
Big City meets Big Oil meets Big Tex in this cocktail by DISH beverage director Trevor Landry. This twist on the iconic tipple showcases the bitter and sweet characteristics of life in one of the Lone Star State’s signature industries. It’s every bit as complex in body and swagger. Yet, unlike the name suggests, the Oil Money Manhattan is actually lighter than the standard Manhattan cocktail. Cheers, y’all!

Oil Money Manhattan
2 ounces Red River Rye (or comparable rye whiskey)
½ ounce Cocchi Americano (or equivalent blanc vermouth)
½ ounce Miro Rojo (or equivalent sweet vermouth)
¼ ounce Luxardo Maraschino
Dash of peach bitters
Lemon twist and Luxardo cherry, for garnish
Combine all ingredients in mixing glass. Add ice and stir until chilled. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and Luxardo cherry.
